Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PCJA Network services, including our SMS and email communications programs. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By subscribing to PCJA Network internet or entertainment services, providing your mobile number or email address, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

“PCJA Network”, “we”, “us”, or “our” refers to PCJA Network, an internet and entertainment provider operating in Jamaica. “You” or “Customer” refers to the individual or business receiving our services.

2. SMS Messaging Program

PCJA Network operates a transactional SMS program for customers in Jamaica. Messages are sent from the alphanumeric sender ID PCJANET via our messaging partner. This program is intended for existing customers and applicants only.

2.1 Types of Messages You Will Receive

  • Welcome & onboarding — confirmation when you sign up, installation scheduling, and activation notices.
  • Billing & payment — invoice ready, payment received, payment due reminders, and payment failure notices.
  • Service outages & restoration — planned maintenance windows, unplanned outage alerts, and service-restored confirmations affecting your area.
  • Account & security — password resets, login codes, and account changes you initiated.
  • Support — replies and updates regarding support tickets you opened with us.

We do not send unsolicited marketing SMS. All messages are transactional and tied to your service or account activity.

2.2 Sample Messages

PCJANET: Welcome to PCJA Network! Your installation is scheduled for Tue 10 Jun, 9am-12pm. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

PCJANET: Your invoice for J$3,500 is ready. Due 15 Jun. Pay at pcja.net/billing. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

PCJANET: We are aware of an outage affecting your area. Engineers are on it. Updates at pcja.net/status. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

2.3 How You Opted In

You are enrolled in our SMS program when you (a) provide your mobile number during the sign-up process at pcjanetwork.com or its sign-up portal, (b) provide your number on a paper or in-person application for service, or (c) opt in by sending a keyword (such as START or JOIN) to PCJANET. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing our services, but is necessary to deliver service-critical notifications.

2.4 Message Frequency

Frequency varies based on your account activity. A typical customer receives approximately 2–8 messages per month. During a service outage or billing event, you may receive additional related messages.

2.5 Opting Out — STOP

You can cancel the SMS program at any time. Reply STOP to any message from PCJANET. After you send STOP, we will send a single confirmation message and you will not receive further SMS from us. If you want to rejoin, sign up again as described in section 2.3 or reply START.

Note: opting out of SMS does not cancel your internet or entertainment service. Critical service notices may still reach you by email or phone call.

2.6 Getting Help — HELP

Reply HELP to any message from PCJANET to receive support contact information. You can also call us at (876) 305-4560 or email support@pcja.net.

2.7 Carriers & Message Rates

Our SMS program is supported on major Jamaican mobile carriers, including Digicel and FLOW. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Check with your carrier if you are unsure. PCJA Network is not responsible for charges imposed by your carrier.

3. Email Communications

We send transactional emails — invoices, payment receipts, outage notices, account changes, support replies — to the email address on your account. Like SMS, these are tied to your service and are not marketing.

Every marketing email (if any) includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email support@pcja.net to update your preferences. Note that account-critical emails (billing, outages, security) cannot be disabled while you remain a customer.

4. Your Information & Privacy

We collect your mobile number and email address solely to deliver the services and notifications described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing. We share your number only with our messaging provider for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf.

5. Service Terms

Internet, entertainment, and related services are provided subject to availability in your area, successful installation, and payment of applicable fees. Service speeds are best-effort and may vary based on network conditions, location, and equipment. We aim for the uptime levels described on our service pages but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our services to (a) violate Jamaican or international law, (b) infringe intellectual property rights, (c) distribute malware or conduct attacks against third parties, (d) send spam, or (e) resell our service without written permission. We may suspend or terminate service for material breach.

7. Billing & Cancellation

Fees are billed monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed. Late payments may result in service suspension. You may cancel service at any time by contacting customer support; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PCJA Network is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from service interruptions, message delivery failures, or use of our services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date, and where appropriate notified by SMS or email. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
